I finished my first pair of socks! I’m so proud of them — they fit and they’re gonna be so warm when winter comes!
my first sock!
I finished my very first sock! I used the first pattern in this book, and Opal brand yarn (Masken Ball — the label is in German so I’m not sure what the actual color is called… I just got this yarn in England because it was gorgeous). It fits and everything! I left the white and dark green yarns woven in the stitches because those are my stitch markers, and I’m going to use them as guides when making the second, matching sock. Hopefully they’ll be exactly the same! I was just so excited about this that I couldn’t wait until both were finished to post it — I’ve been dying to finish a sock for ages! Turns out this one only took about 3 evenings of work — I’ve been crocheting while my boyfriend and I watch the TV series “Highlander.” It’s very good.
Harry Potter scarves
Yes, I am a complete nerd. I made these Gryffindor scarves for HP book and movie releases. The one on the left is the style they had in movies 3+, and the one on the right is the style they had in the first 2. Easily made if you know how to change colors and make rectangles, instructions for both of which are on this site right here!
another pet play mat
I actually made this one for our pet — it’s in front of her kennel. It’s made of cheap Red Heart yarn so it won’t be a big deal if she poops or vomits on it, and it matches the wall hangings I made. Made with dc stitches and the joined row circle pattern with an additional ruffled edging.
