This headband has been the hardest thing I’ve knitted so far because I had to learn some new increases and techniques. The pattern was pretty easy to follow, which was great. Even with the lacy holes, I’m hoping it will keep my ears warm enough on my trip to England this Christmas.
I’m happy with the results! Because of this project I’ve neglected the Weasley sweater a bit, but I’ll get back on it asap!

I started a headband today to break up the monotony of the stockinette stitch sweater. Here’s the pattern.
The pattern calls for chunky yarn and 10.5 size needles, but I’m using size 10s and worsted yarn because I don’t want it quite so wide. It’s going well so far, and I’m really proud because I had to learn some new increases:
The picture color lies — the yarn is actually a very light blue.

Hermione’s hat is coming along well. I’m at the first row of decreases so it shouldn’t be long before I’m done.
My Weasley sweater is also coming along nicely. It’s 16″ from the bottom when unrolled now.
I found a new Ravelry pattern today that I would love to make, but it looks really hard for me! It’s gorgeous though!
My newest project is Kitty Ripple #2, and when finished it will go with #1 to PetSmart to line the kennels of the adoptable kitties. Here’s my first couple of rows (I’m using the same pattern as last time). I just wanted to show you the crazy yarn. It’s totally something old-fashioned but I think it’s fun for kitties.
I say it’s fun for kitties and there’s already dog hair on it. I’ll have to wash both kitty ripples before I take them in…
I’ve been working on 2 items, both Harry Potter related (I know, I’m such a nerd).
The first one is the hat Hermione wore in HP7 (pattern here). It’s really pretty and doesn’t blatantly scream Harry Potter:
My second WIP is more obnoxious, or at least it has the potential to be. I’m making a Weasley sweater (pattern here), and I’m still unsure of whether or not to add the giant H on the front. In the movie of course it stands for Harry, but since my name is Hannah it would totally work. But do I want to be that blatant of a fan? We’ll have to see. Here’s what I’ve got so far of the back piece:
And it’s about 14″ from the bottom, so I’m about halfway done with this section:
Can’t wait to make more progress in both of these! Oh and I also have a sock, but I haven’t touched it in a while:
I managed the provisional cast on toe and then got burned out on how difficult I found it and how slow it was going, so I stopped for a while.
