About:
Chunky knitwear is all the rage, but what if you don’t knit, or you just wanna crochet? The proper spacing of puff stitches can mimic a fluffy stockinette knit stitch, and with this cowl you’ll be right on trend! Did we mention it’s reversible & has a hidden seam?

Great idea – thank you for sharing! I’ve been jealous of all the cowl knit patterns (I only know how to juggle knitting needles in a way that drops stitches – but crochet…I can fix! :). I’m in a warmish spot in the world but this looks like a great gift idea for my Pacific NW friends. Thanks again!

I love this. I am looking for just the right stitch for a young friend to wear on the tram as we head into Winter here. If I make it I will link back. it really is quite brilliant by the way. I LOVE stitches that make me wonder if they are knitting or crochet! 😀

How many strands of worsted are you using in this pattern? The picture makes it look like 3 or so strands of yarn are being held together in working up this pattern.c

It’s just 1 strand, but the puff stitch makes it look like 3. 🙂

Love the pattern. Is it possible to knit this instead of crochet?

Yes, you’d just need some really chunky, fluffy yarn and large needles and make a tube of stockinette (although that wouldn’t be reversible like this).
