This awesome floral cowl is made of a bunch of crocheted puffs, all interlinked in a specific way. It’s super cozy and warm, too! And of course I’m releasing the pattern for free! Read on for details:
difficulty level:
Advanced
finished size:
60″ (168 cm) circumference, 9″ (23 cm) wide
materials:
- 7 balls of Garnstudio DROPS Alpaca in 4010 Light Grey Purple, or 1271 yds (1162 m) of your preferred sport weight yarn
- US E/4 (3.5 mm) hook
- Measuring tape
This was a fun project to make because it offered a bit of a challenge, it used up a lot of yarn in my stash, and it took some time (that’s what happens when it’s made of puffs, and I’m glad of that because sometimes I just whiz through crochet projects too quickly!).
If you want to make this pattern, you can always find it in the menu of this site, or:
click here to download the free PDF pattern!
You can keep track of your progress on Ravelry, I’ve added it there. Click here for that.
Can’t believe you released this as FREE pattern! How very generous of you! this is so pretty! and so DIFFERENT!
though I’m not going to do right now (have list of to-do’s a mile long right now), I have downloaded and saved in my files…I WILL do this in the not too distant future!
THANK YOU so much! this is absolutely gorgeous! Can’t wait to get started….it does look challenging — but those are the most fun, aren’t they? if it’s too easy, it tends to get boring.
thank you again!
I’m so glad you like it! When you’ve made it I’d love to see a picture! And I agree — too easy and I get bored quickly! 🙂
Oooooooooo! I love this thank you so much Hannah! I would gladly pay for this!

Awesome! Maybe it’ll use up some of your stash. 😉
That is such a pretty pattern. It looks like a cowl of flowers. I can’t wait to read it. Thank you for posting it. ❤
I’m glad you like it! 🙂
I love it!! I want one for me!! Thank you very much!! I am learnig to do this crochet things and I really really want to make this project, somebody could tell me if there is a video tutorial to try to do it? I can’t undertand the instruccions, thank you very much!!
I haven’t made a video tutorial but you could search for “Jasmine stitch” or “Thai crochet” on YouTube and something might pop up. I’d recommend just learning how to do the puff stitch on it’s own first, if you’re new to crochet. I’m sure there are YouTube tutorials on the puff stitch. Hope that helps! 🙂
Thank you!!! I found some videos and now I am trying to make this awesome cowl, and thank you very much again for sharing your work with all of us! you are so talented!!
I’m glad you found videos to help, and thank you! 🙂
OMG I love this scarf — it looks so puffy and warm! I just pinned a similar pattern, but it only had a chart and no real instructions. Thank you so much for sharing your pattern! I shared it on Pinterest and scheduled a tweet for tomorrow.
Thank you so much, I’m glad you like it! And thanks for the shares as well. I’d love to see yours if you make it! 🙂
You should so make a video tutorial on how to make this it’s gorgeous
Thanks! I don’t have a video camera though, or a good way to hold my phone. 😦
