Dia de los Muertos couple

Reminders of one of my favorite holidays!

vampire couple

It’s Nosferatu and Queen Vampire from my “Creepy Cute Crochet” book!

BTW, I weight all of these dolls with pennies or airsoft pellets in the bottom of the body section so they don’t tip over, as Nosferatu would have been prone to do.

I used the panda pattern that’s listed under the “online patterns” tab for this, only I changed the colors on the body at a different place and just made my own pattern for the ear tufts, eyes, and feet.  The black part of the eyes is felt.  Was going to add purple wings, but ran out of yarn.

Filet crochet is neat because it looks super fancy but only involves 2 stitches — chains and double crochet.  Easy peasy!  You can make your own patterns for this pretty easily once you get the hang of it but I just got this from an old book.

first post!

The home page/blog page will be used to post projects I’m working on currently, things I’ve finished, or just projects and patterns across the Internet that I’ve found and think are worth sharing.  Hope you enjoy!
