finally, a decision!

After days and days of browsing through Ravelry and my crocheting and knitting books, I finally decided on a new project — a simple colorblock blanket, done in big stripes (one of each color). I ordered the yarn today from KnitPicks. It’s their Comfy Worsted (75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic), which I’ve used before and is very soft, not to mention affordable!  These are the colors I purchased:

Flamingo (3 skeins)

Hawk (1 skein)

There was only 1 skein of Hawk left to order so I might just use it as a border, or if I need the extra length in the blanket I can order more once they restock.

I haven’t decided on whether to crochet it or knit it — I’ve never knitted a blanket before but crochet is so much faster! Of course, if I knit it, the blanket will be bigger because knitting takes up less yarn than crocheting does…  Decisions, decisions.

Well that’s all for today.  I’m off to drink some tea — my allergies have really been making my throat hurt and have also made me lose my voice, so some tea with honey sounds amazing.  Have a good evening and see you soon!

A gorgeous range of yarn, it has to be crochet – knitting would take an age.
