After a bit of trial and error, my Coming Up Roses Hat is complete!
I love working with the KnitPicks’ Comfy Worsted cotton yarn, but the pattern was a little off (or perhaps it was just me…). Â I had to up the hook size and I finished about an inch before the pattern recommended to tie off (and it fits my head fine this way). The cross stitch was also done by holding 2 strands of the yarn instead of just 1 for a fuller effect:
…I’m not very good at cross stitch…
Well there’s lots of yarn left and I plan on making a few things with it, but that can wait until another day. Â Thanks so much for stopping by, see you soon!
Really, really cute! The colors are all just perfect together. I’d love to see a photo with you wearing it!
Best

Very cute! I haven’t worked with cotton yarn yet. I am waiting for a good sale, and I need to finish up some other projects.

Oooo cotton yarn is great, but some are definitely softer than others! The KnitPicks Comfy is the softest cotton yarn I’ve ever used (but I’ve heard from people who have used it and washed their items a few times that it pills easily).

That’s pretty! And don’t worry, the cross stitch looks fine. I actually double strand as well on projects.

It’s beautiful! I attempted this before on a smaller scale and totally failed. You did an amazing job!

Thank you! It was pretty tricky, especially trying to make the cross stitches look good but still be loose enough to stretch a bit with the hat!
