After months of inactivity, I am excited to say that I am finally about to start a new project. My yarn order arrived today:
It’s all KnitPicks yarn in their Brava Bulky line, which is their really soft and cheap acrylic. There are 6 balls of Cobblestone Heather, 1 black, 1 white, 2 cream, and 1 Avocado. Hopefully that will be enough for my project — I’m upsizing a crochet pattern I found on Ravelry and so had to guess on the amount of yarn necessary.
I will be really impressed if you can guess what I’m making with this (because I’m not going to tell you yet!). Hopefully it will go by relatively quickly and nyac can get back in the swing of things.
Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!
Ooh I can’t wait to see what you’re making! I’m really desperate to get my uni work done so that I can crack on with some crochet again!

Looking at all of the lovely colors makes me finally want to work on that intimidating Avatar:Four Elements blanket for my boyfriend.

beware, it is a very long and somewhat tedious project. 🙂 But it turns out beautiful. The project is on raverly.com if you want to check it out.

Hi Hannah,I would just like to let you know I was viewing a blanket to do a star stitch that I would like to use,as I’m making a large American Flag (I thought that would be the perfect stitch) but I forgot how to do it,anyway….as I was following your instructions it wasn’t turning out right. So after a few times of pulling the piece apart,I figured out what was wrong. It was the instructions for the “full star stitch” in row 2 you have “2 hdc in each eye” sorry but that’s wrong,it’s “3 hdc in each eye” Thank You,Vicki

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I can see how it would look more like a real star if there were 3 hdcs in each eye. Unfortunately that didn’t work in our CAL blanket where we were doing rows of different stitch patterns because the numbers didn’t work out; that’s why I just did two. 🙂
